Make Cash Selling Glow Sticks

With summer fast approaching you can bet that there are some people who’ll need money asap. If this sounds like you then I’ve got a great opportunity for you to make some fast cash by selling stuff this summer.

With all the big events during the summer you can also bet that the firework sellers will do brisk business again. But fireworks aren’t the only item in high demand at these summer events. Selling glow sticks is another easy way to cash in on all the excitement.

You can buy glow sticks and bracelets for $0.06-$0.60 each. These can be resold for $1-$2. Making a nice +300% profit. Also, by offer deals like “3 for $2” you can sell even more.

  1. Hey Thomas,

Great entrepreneurial sprit you have there. How do you come up with all of these ideas? You could probably combine then all together into an E-Book on 101 ways to make quick money 🙂

Cheers and how is the baby coming along? Is it nearly ready to meet the world?

    • Thanks Jef! Honestly I don’t know where this stuff comes from. But I thought this was a fun idea to make some money in the summer. The baby’s not here yet. Will be very soon though.

    • Sometimes you see glow stick vendors at the local events but not always. When they are there they usually do pretty good business, at least judging by the number of kids wearing them.

  3. I love the glow stick hustle idea. I never thought about it, but I bet glow sticks would sell just as good as $2 bottled water! Thanks for the great tip!

    • Hey Josh! Some might even say its better than selling bottled water since you don’t have to lug a cooler around with you filled with ice and water.

      • I have done this every year since I was about 12 years old, I’m 34 now….lol! We typically spend $30-$40, and bring home in the neighborhood of $300. Its really fast money, and pretty fun. My husband did not believe that this was a profitable venture, he thought we would be stuck with hundreds of glowsticks, but after going to our communitys fireworks event 5 years ago, he’s gone with me every year since!!

        • Tracie that is amazing! Sounds like you have a nice little side business going there. Have you done other summer events besides your local fireworks show?
