March was good but I still wasn’t able to break $1,000. March was also about $350 below last year. That kinda sucks but it’s still pretty amazing that I was able to generate nearly $1,000 on the side.
The site was included in a roundup of digital nomads or digital nomad wannabe’s. Rob from Money Nomad put together the post “How to Quit Your Job and Become a Digital Nomad: 35 Expert Tips“. There are lots of great tips from many expert bloggers so you should definitely check it out.

My March Update: $907
The websites held steady this month vs last. Nothing really improve drastically but nothing really declined either. With so many other things happening in my life these websites have been somewhat neglected. The one thing you can’t do when running a website is neglect them for too long. Slowly you start to lose ranking and traffic.
Visitors and page views were basically flat to last month for ineedmoneyasap.com. To bring things back to where they were I’m going to need a strategy. The trouble is I have other projects I’d prefer to be working on. What I need is more time.
For my other site there were some improvements but it’s a smaller niche that takes time to build an audience. Still though, that side made $20 in March. Not bad considering hosting is just $3.50/month.
- Sessions: 7,940
- Pageviews: 17,841
- Pages/Session: 2.3
- Bounce Rate: 57%
Swagbucks was a little slow this month. Thankfully some of my referrals were really active so I was able to make $20 just from my referrals alone. There are a bunch of different ways to make money with Swagbucks. If you want to make some serious cash then you need to refer people to the site. When these referrals are active you get 10% of their earnings. Thats easy money.

There are now two small business ideas that I’m working on. Both are related to financial planning. As you may know I’ve been taking a financial planning course part time for the last two years. There are 6 classes in total and I’m nearly finished the final class.
There are two ideas I have. One is small. It’s to become a local financial planning. Mostly doing fee-only planning.
The second idea could be much larger. It’s to create a “Mint” type app for financial planning. Whereas Mint does a lot of budgeting/tracking with just a bit of goal setting my intention would be to create an app that does more holistic financial planning with the app generating recommendations/strategies to achieve the users goals.
Let me know what you think about the financial planning app idea. Is it something you would use?
PS. If you’ve ever considered starting a blog then give it a try now using BlueHost. They’ve got a deal, $3.49/mth and a free domain. You won’t be disappointed.
